The BMA Gears up for B&K
Stand A60

The BMA has some important new initiatives to unveil at B&K including a new fact sheet, new study material, the virtual Bathroom Academy and the Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme.

The virtual Bathroom Academy available at http://www.bathroom-academy.co.uk will be launched at B&K Expo providing students - whether an installer, sales manager or designer - with access to online enrolment, payment and testing. In addition, Bathroom Academy students will have easy access to all Generic Industry Guides, the Certification Programme and Continuous Professional Development (CPD).

The Bathroom Academy will also launch a new Generic Industry Guide covering Domestic Water Systems, further enhancing course material.

Bathroom Academy Training Manager Phil Lumley (pictured) says: ‘The Bathroom Academy has come on in leaps and bounds. The feedback we receive is extremely positive and I'm looking forward to sharing some success stories and tempting new students with our special offer of six Core Merits for the price of four.’

The BMA will also launch a new Rate Your Bathroom fact sheet encompassing inclusive design to help retailers meet the needs of the independent living market place and ensuring they ask the right questions of consumers. This fact sheet eradicates any awkwardness or embarrassment for both consumer and retailer by posing a series of questions making the product selection process easier.

Further information about the voluntary BMA Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme, which is also open to non-BMA members, will be available from the BMA Secretariat team on the stand (A60).

The series of BMA workshops and seminar will be delivered by Industry experts, with the first taking place on Sunday 13 May at 1.45pm covering inclusive design. The second in the series takes place on Monday 14 May covering training and the importance of a well-qualified workforce. A seminar, also on 14th May, at 1.30pm, hones in on the future design and trend predictions of wetrooms. Then on Tuesday 15th May at 2pm the last workshop in the series will cover the highly relevant issues of water efficiency.

You will find the BMA on stand A60. ‘Come and see us there!’
