Dietrich launched in the UK just over 25 years ago and it says that it
was the first company to bring built-in pyrolytic ovens to the UK market,
and has been at the forefront of advances in this technology ever since.
For
2006, De Dietrich has brought another 'first' to market. It has launched
a stainless steel freestanding 120cm range cooker, DCM6120X, with the
advantage of Pyroclean functions in both ovens; something never before
available in the UK, and offering the best of both worlds; a range cooker
with the technology normally associated with its prestigious built-in
ovens.
Cleaning the oven by hand is a universally hated chore. It also costs
on average, £1.19 every time the oven is cleaned using cleaner,
gloves and sponges. In comparison, a Pyroclean cycle can cost as little
as £.25 pence and there is never any need to manually clean the
oven again. No more need for noxious chemicals, and the ultimate savings
are in physical effort and that most precious commodity: time.
When it comes to cooking, this range cooker has many features. The hob
has integrated ignition and six burners: two powerful 4.4kW triple crown
wok burners, two rapid burners and two medium burners. Heavyweight cast
iron pan supports give it the fashionable industrial aesthetic that is
so popular these days. For safety, if the flame is extinguished for whatever
reason; the gas supply will automatically be stopped to prevent any gas
leakage.
Both 53 litre ovens are identical - and both are the same size as an average
built - in single oven. Each oven features the following:
* 'A' energy rating - the ovens perform using the most economical amount
of energy.
* 7 cooking functions: fan, turbogrill, double grill, single grill, conventional,
defrost and base element with fan.
* A handy rotisserie for roasting food on a turnspit for the ultimate
in even cooking results.
* Quadruple glazed door - for safety.
The ovens each have their own electronic clock and timer, so dishes prepared
in either oven can be separately timed to cook to perfection. Beneath
the ovens are two spacious storage compartments for accessories which
include: a wire shelf, grill pan and rotisserie.
