Water Saving Design from Impulse Bathroom Products

Birmingham company is hoping to flush out the water conscious public with
the launch of the UK's first toilet with a 4.5 - 3 litre dual flush. ‘Launched
at this year's KBB exhibition, this unique design from Impulse Bathroom
Products is one of the most important developments in a world where water
use reduction is rapidly becoming a priority,’ says the company.
Estimated
to save a minimum of 25% of water per flush in the average family home,
the new Impulse Tribune Dual Flush WC, which is equipped with its EVO(tm)
valve, has been awarded WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Service) accreditation.
The company says that this new design is the first system in the UK to
operate a 4.5 litre/3 litre dual flush system. Having enjoyed enormous
success in Australia where water regulations are extremely stringent,
Impulse will now be offering the EVO(tm) system in many of its ranges.
Gary Hawkins, General Manager of Impulse said: ‘Water prices (supply
and waste) continue to rise steadily, more and more homes have water meters
fitted and many of us have experienced hose pipe pans and even stand pipes
during summer months. The need for us to conserve water is vital and can
no longer be ignored.
‘Impulse's design team has embraced water conservation and developed
the EVO(tm) 41/2 / 3 litre flush valve. This revolutionary EVO(tm) outlet
valve in conjunction with the remodelled geometry of the WC trap design
has resulted in the UK's first WRAS approved 41/2 / 3 litre toilet suite
- The Tribune WC pan and cistern. The new Impulse Zeto Suite which is
also launched officially at KBB 2006 is the second 41/2 / 3 EVO(tm) valve
suite in the stylish Impulse range.
