Cosentino Hosts Summit for 150 European Silestone Distributors

The UK and Ireland Cosentino distributors have recently returned from the Group's second European Convention. Attended by over 150 European distributors from fifteen countries, the event was hosted at Cosentino's headquarters in Almeria, Spain.

The convention was an opportunity to discuss current and future plans of the business, in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. The three-day event included presentations from the President and Directors of Cosentino, with other talks on kitchen design and trends. The new Silestone advertising campaign was also unveiled.

Cosentino UK MD, Christophe Gontier says, ‘The convention was extremely informative and motivating, giving everyone the chance to share ideas and discuss issues. The next year is going to be another exciting one, with product launches and new warehouses opening in the UK, to meet the ever increasing demand for Silestone’.

A competitive 11 a side football match took place, which saw a UK and Ireland team play against a team from the rest of Europe. After a close and exciting match, the UK and Ireland team which included the UK MD, Christophe Gontier, won five goals to four, to take home the coveted trophy.

The UK also picked up the award for 'Best Commercial Project in Europe', for its involvement with Reading Football Club. Buckinghamshire based fabricator, Marble Workshop supplied Silestone for use in the executive lounges.
