Great
Success at Homag Open House
Homag
UK enjoyed notable success at the companys recent open house exhibition
from March 12 - 14 at its headquarters at Castle Donington. During the
three days of the show over 80 companies attended representing more than
three times that number in actual visitors.
Seven on the spot sales of different machines were made at the show representing
close to seven figure sums. MD Ian Brown says that the level of high quality
enquiries they have to follow up is excellent.
A good variety of machines were on show for demonstration covering hi-tech
solutions from entry level through to industrial application machinery.
Many Homag Group members were represented and the exhibition was also
attended by invited companies from the tooling, edging materials and software
sectors.
Visitors were able to discuss Homag's advanced but flexible finance schemes
in association with the Bank of Scotland and get a direct understanding
of Homag's training and service facilities.
Among the machines on show was the Weeke BHX500 dual panel processing
centre which has enjoyed phenomenal success worldwide since its recent
introduction. This is a truly single operator panel centre with high output
and total flexibility. Also from Weeke the affordable BHP210 CNC machining
centre for nesting production and the sophisticated Venture 5 CNC machine
with multi-axis performance.
From single-sided edgebander specialist Brandt a high specification KDF660
machine was on display alongside the entry level KDN210 with superb features
and the mid-range KDN340 machine.
World leading beam saw manufacturers Holzma showed how affordable this
cutting edge technology is with an HPP230 machine launched at the last
Ligna show in Germany.
Wide belt sanding specialists Bütfering attended the exhibition with
a STO213 model.
From Homag's main factory at Schopfloch a high specification KAL310 single
sided edgebander with pre-milling was demonstrated.
