Sigma 3 Kitchens are Perfect Recipe for Luxury at Bluestone

A new Pembrokeshire short-break destination is proving the perfect recipe for success for Welsh kitchen manufacturer and retailer Sigma 3.

The £18m turnover company, headquartered in Llantrisant, has been awarded a prestigious contract to supply kitchens to Bluestone, due to open in Narberth, Pembrokeshire this summer.

When it opens in July, the £110 million development, set in 500 acres of Pembrokeshire countryside, will comprise 186 luxury timber lodges, 30 cottages, 17 studios and a wide range of leisure facilities. Sigma 3 is supplying 162 kitchens for lodges at the development in a contract worth around £400,000.

The luxury lodges have open-plan living areas, so Bluestone chiefs charged Sigma 3 with providing high-quality kitchens that would blend in well while also making a modern, stylish statement.

Two contemporary kitchen ranges have been selected for the contract, one a rich walnut design, the other a range with a high-gloss finish. They have been designed to fit in with modern open-plan living, intentionally avoiding the use of wall units in order to create an open, spacious feel. High-specification, fully-integrated appliances are included throughout.

Sigma 3's Commercial MD, Richard Partridge, commented: ‘We are delighted to be associated with such a prestigious development. Bluestone is an exciting concept and I'm sure will soon become one of the country's most popular new short-break destinations.

‘We are also very pleased to be working with a fellow Welsh organisation which is, like ourselves, making a significant contribution to the local economy.’

Bluestone's Finance Director, Allan Christopher, said:

‘We felt Sigma 3 was the right company for us because we needed high-quality, stylish kitchens to complement our luxury lodges, and we needed a company with a proven ability to successfully co-ordinate large-scale projects.

‘Our guests will have every right to expect something special, and we're confident that these fantastic kitchens fit the bill perfectly.’

Sigma 3's retail division sells directly to the general public through its 12 retail showrooms across Wales, Surrey, Sussex and Lancashire, while the commercial division, through its various distribution channels, is currently supplying furniture to many of the biggest names in the building industry as well as nationwide distributors.

The company recently unveiled plans to invest a further £1.3 million in developing and expanding the manufacturing arm of the business, bringing total investment in the past six years to £2.8 million. The additional capital investment will boost manufacturing outputs at its 40,000 sq ft manufacturing plant.
