BMA
Prepares for KBB 2008
Hall 20, Stand B22
The
Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA) is looking forward
to a busy show at KBB 2008. This year you'll find the Association in Hall
20 on Stand B22.
The BMA will be promoting the Water Efficient Product Labelling Scheme,
the Cut the VAT campaign and the Bathroom Academy.
Come and find out more about the Scheme, the current products registered
(now more than 300), the future direction of the Scheme and how upcoming
changes in legislation will affect the Bathroom Industry.
Whilst you're visiting the BMA stand you can complete a Cut the VAT postcard
and help lobby for a reduction in VAT to five per cent for repair, maintenance,
improvements and materials in a bid to make Britain's homes greener.
All completed postcards will be hand delivered to Downing Street in the
autumn together with the postcards from other organisations that have
formed a coalition to lobby Government, including the Federation of Master
Builders and the National Home Improvement Council.
Also at KBB, the Bathroom Academy will launch new Generic Industry Guides
for CAD for the Bathroom, The Principles of Bathroom Design and a revised,
up to date Guide for Sanitaryware & Fittings.
These new Guides follow on perfectly from the previous eight Guides in
the series, as to competently provide advice and guidance on bathroom
design and installation it is vital to have up to date accurate product
knowledge, as provided in the other Guides.
You can get a real feel for the benefits of the Bathroom Academy by attending
the daily training seminars hosted by the Bathroom Academy and the KBBNTG.
Businesses with real experience of the Academy's training courses will
speak at the training seminars and will be on hand to answer all questions.
The BMA is also hosting three water efficiency seminars in conjunction
with Waterwise to delve into the status on water efficiency in the UK,
the Water Efficient Product Labelling Scheme and the Waterwise Marque.
A Designing for Life seminar will take place on 3rd March at 4pm in conjunction
with well known independent occupational therapist Kate Sheehan, who will
also be available to answer any questions on the BMA stand on that day.
Held with the leading authorities on each subject the seminars ensure
the Bathroom Industry is equipped with the tools needed to remain abreast
of the latest and future developments that are shaping the Industry.
The BMA will also be on hand to discuss the benefits of membership with
potential new members. 2007 was a very successful year for membership
recruitment with seven companies joining the Association throughout the
year.
You will find the BMA in Hall 20 on stand B22. We look forward to
seeing you there!
