Latham Brings the Matrix to Fareham

Timber and panel products distributor, James Latham, has announced the opening of a brand new site - Matrix Park in Fareham.

Matrix Park is a new building based 5 minutes away from J9 on the M27, conveniently located midway between Southampton and Portsmouth. To speed up collection and preparation times, the new warehouse has a sophisticated state-of-the-art racking system which will enable Latham to carry almost every stock line - in a dedicated rack space - meaning instant access to the required product.

The modern offices have an impressive showroom to demonstrate the company's ever increasing range of decorative products; the building also has a large yard to accommodate incoming deliveries and own-collections simultaneously. Additionally, space has been allocated for car-parking, deliveries and collections.

The new team, in excess of 20 people, is to be headed up by Steve Frommont, assisted by his management team Trevor Smith, Pat Collins and Paul Enright and will also include the vastly experienced Dave Green, who has recently joined James Latham from William T Eden.

Latham has invested a significant amount into new machinery for the project including four new combi-trucks. The high quality stock profile includes Finesse veneered MDF, Egger and Kronospan MFC and MFMDF, LG HI MACS, and an increasing range of FSC, PEFC and 3rd party accredited panels.
