First
Class Glass from Franke - Crystal Clear Sink Solution at KBB 2008
Hall 18, Stand J24
Franke says that it has become the first
major sink manufacturer to introduce a glass and steel sink that is set
to take 'doing the dishes' to another level. Glass is one of the latest
and most innovative materials to hit kitchens in recent years, and is
now widely used on worktops and splashbacks. Moving the concept forward,
Franke is set to launch the Kubus KBV range. The fashionable new glass
sinks combine durable stainless steel bowls with hygienic yet style-led
toughened glass drainers and surrounds. The end result is truly unique
and offers consumers the best of both worlds.
Revealed for the first time at KBB 2008, there are two Kubus models available
- a single bowl (Kubus KBV 611) which fits neatly into a 500mm cabinet,
and a one-and-a-half bowl (Kubus KBV 651) which fits within a 600mm cabinet.
Both come in a choice of sleek Black or cool Aqua tones and measure 1000
x 530mm. Adding extra design appeal, the drainer has a matt surface, which
is slip resistant, while the perimeter surface has a reflective shiny
finish.
Any designer that has worked with glass in the kitchen will know that
it is much stronger than many believe and the Kubus collection of glass
sinks from Franke is no exception. The sinks have undergone numerous tests
for both longevity and durability - including dropping stainless steel
pans directly onto the surface - and have proved incredibly hardwearing.
As part of the popular Franke Specialist Range, the sinks will be available
as a Designer Pack with a special Mythos tap and are due to be available
for delivery from March.
