Poggenpohl
Revs up for KBB
Stand VIP15
German
kitchen manufacturer Poggenpohl will be launching its newest cutting-edge
kitchen design at KBB 2008. Visitors will be able to see the P'7340 kitchen
for men designed in collaboration with Porsche Design.
Poggenpohl's P'7340 concept repositions luxury kitchens as genuine status
symbols. The Porsche link gives additional appeal to designer interiors,
maximising the kitchen's effect as a desirable possession that not only
functions perfectly, but also reflects the owner's style, taste and standing.
Aluminium, a material typically used by Porsche Design, gives the P'7340
kitchen an innovative and technical look. The definitive rectangular aluminium
frames, in a range of sizes, allow customers to position cabinet elements
in any configuration within them; the result is a modular, spacious and
versatile system that deliberately integrates clear spaces into the overall
design concept.
A choice of sleek matt or gloss polished glass is coloured on the underside
in a selection of neutral tones including Deep Black, Pure White, Frozen
Green, Platinum Beige and Olive Green. Two open-grained, textured wood
varieties, Driftwood and Dark Oak, provide an eye-catching contrast to
these cool materials. Slim worktops crafted from satin-finished glass,
quartz or smooth stone elegantly crown the cabinetry.
Fundamental, not decorative, engineered, not simply designed, the Poggenpohl
Porsche Design P'7340 expresses the design philosophy of both companies:
timeless aesthetic; classic modernism; essence without compromise; passion,
performance, purism, precision.
