Lean in Action: The Premiere Kitchen Company

ukfirst is holding a one day best practice event at the manufacturing base of The Premiere Kitchen Company on Wednesday 16th July.

Based in Hardwicke, Gloucester, the event will focus on the fundamentals of lean manufacturing, including workplace organisation and the use of kanban systems.

This is the second visit this year organised by ukfirst, the lean manufacturing consultancy, having taken a party of 20 to Blum in Austria in February. ukfirst offer these visits to give furniture manufacturers the opportunity to gain an insight into the operations of companies with lean concepts already in place.

The Premiere Kitchen Company is a manufacturer of high quality kitchen units based in a 10,000sqm purpose built factory. Since 1989, the company has been a supplier to the public sector and boasts the only fully automated assembly line in the UK.
