Sponsors Lanzet's Constructive Challenge
Kitchen
appliance group BSH Home Appliances Ltd recently sponsored one of the
49 teams successfully taking part in the UK Construction Industry's annual
charity fund raising event.
The team sponsored by BSH - on behalf of the company's well-known Bosch,
Neff and Siemens brands - was from Lanzet, a kitchen company supplying
and fitting quality kitchens and appliances to private House Builders
and Developers.
Based in Reading, Berkshire the Lanzet team comprised four walkers and
two support crew. Sales Director Chris Richardson, Marketing Director
Nigel Grasham, Business Development Manager Darren Bowers and Senior Project
Manager Gary Harvey walked the course, while Head of Logistics Terry Sullivan
and Managing Director John McDarren drove, cooked and looked after the
team.
The
challenge for all 49 teams was to conquer the 3 peaks: Ben Nevis, Scafell
Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours to raise money for the COINS Foundation,
which supports technically innovative projects to address the needs of
less privileged people in the UK & overseas. 100% of the funds go
towards these projects through 3 specific charities: 'Care', 'Habitat
for Humanity' and 'Stepping on'.
Comments Lanzet's Managing Director and support crew chief John McDarren:
We are very grateful to our sponsors BSH. In this instance, we know
that all the money goes to really worthwhile construction projects all
over the world
Adds BSH Contracts Director, Bill Simpson: We were delighted to
support Lanzet's commendable effort for a much needed humanitarian cause
Senior members of staff from many of the UK's main House Builders also
took part in this event, including those from Banner, Bewley, Lovell,
Millgate, Orchard, Redrow, Taylor Woodrow, Twigden, Rosemullion and Weston
Homes.
