Theobalds Celebrates 30th Anniversary

2008 sees Theobalds celebrating its 30th anniversary in business. Starting from humble beginnings in an oast house in 1978 in Leeds village in Kent, the company has grown from strength to strength to become a leading distributor of kitchens, bathrooms and appliances.

New Joint Managing Directors, Steve Brooks and Jamie Gardiner comment on the landmark occasion ‘We are delighted to celebrate Theobalds 30 year milestone and following the management buyout last year are looking forward to developing the strong Theobalds portfolio’.

30 years on, Theobald’s head office is now located on a four acre site with a 65,000 sq ft warehouse coupled with a state of the art 3,500 sq ft showroom and sales office. Over the last decade, the company has launched five new own brands including Butler Appliances, Brompton Bathrooms, Matchmaker Kitchens and the most recent additions in 2007 of Bespoke Collection and Elements kitchen range. In addition, to complement the overall product offering Theobalds also distributes leading brand appliances, sinks, taps, lighting and ducting.

Employing 55 people, Theobalds prides itself on customer service and with the recent launch of Theobald's complete catalogue, customers at a glance have the latest product information in a 160 page guide. To mark the 30th anniversary Theobalds hopes to celebrate later on in the year with customer open days and other events.
