TV’s Amanda Lamb Unveils New Silestone Life Colours at KBB Show 2008

The presenter of TV’s ‘A Place in the Sun’, Amanda Lamb unveiled the new Silestone Life Colours for Cosentino at the KBB Show 2008.

Amanda who has a Silestone worktop in her own kitchen said,

'I love my Silestone worksurface. At first, I was overwhelmed by the array of colours and finishes and couldn’t believe that something so beautiful could be so hardwearing. It’s the only quartz work surface to contain Microban anti-bacterial protection so is 100% hygienic too!'

Christophe Gontier, managing director of Cosentino in the UK said,

'The KBB Show was hugely successful for us. Not only did we catch up with industry colleagues, there was also significant interest in our stand from completely new customers. We have literally hundreds of genuine leads to follow-up.'

The Cosentino stand also had a surprise visit from another happy Silestone customer, celebrity chef, Mike Robinson who has used Silestone in the kitchen of his Newbury-based Game and Wild Food Cookery School.

Mike says, 'I think we have the longest Silestone work surface ever made in our kitchen. We often have to skin large animals such as deer and so a hardwearing surface that eliminates the chance of cross contamination is vital for us. What’s more, no matter how hard we try, we can’t scratch it!'

Silestone by the wholly-owned Spanish Cosentino is made from 93% natural quartz and is the only quartz work surface to contain Microban anti-bacterial protection. With high scratch and stain resistance, Silestone is available in over 50 colours, with many available in either a polished or leather matt finish.
