KBB - A Stunning Exhibition!

Following months of hard work, the first edition of KBB incorporating HPE and Expotile as a stand alone event was an absolute success, says organiser CMP.

With over 400 exhibitors, KBB has proved to be inspirational by the various collections and innovative designs on offer, making it the UK's largest trade exhibition dedicated to the kitchen, bedroom and bathrooms.

Event Director Paul Sweeney comments: 'We are extremely pleased with the results of this years edition of Kbb. The show looked absolutely stunning and we have had extremely good feedback relating to the quality of both products and buyers.

We are confident that the show's success will reinforce the quality standards for KBB London next year.'

Described as one of the better looking trade shows ever by the NEC management, the aisles were filled with stunningly designed stands and packed with enthusiastic professionals and serious potential buyers. Teresa Turner, Director of Articad comments: 'The Monday of KBB Birmingham was the best single day for our company at any show we had ever done, anywhere in the world.'

Showcasing high-end kitchen furniture from leading suppliers, The Kitchen Gallery demonstrated the trendiest products this innovative industry has to offer. Adding a celebrity touch to this event, Aldo Zilli, offered a cooking demonstration on the Caple Stand whilst James Martin was present at the Premium Appliance Brands stand.

With so much happening it is not surprising that the R&R areas were constantly buzzing. From the Bristan bar to both the Ionic Stone and Caple cafés and from the wittily designed Croydex cocktail bar to the Poggenpohl Champagne bar, Kbb had an area to suit our visitors' individual preferences. Stuart Frost, Product Marketing Manager, MAYTAG UK comments 'Wow, what a fantastic show! The facilities were all in close proximity and well positioned. The stand was always busy and generated many enquiries which we are now qualifying. A great show.'

Richard Walker, sales and marketing director for De Dietrich Kitchen Appliances adds:
'KBB 2008 was an excellent platform to present our latest collections to the wider kitchen industry over the four days. Not only was the amount of interest really exciting, the quality of dealers and buyers was significant. We certainly had one of the busiest stands, with a constant flow of interest; even up to the last hour of the last day. We have already begun building partnerships with both new customers and with customers that wished to renew their association with us.

'Furthermore, the press interest was incredible. From both a trade and consumer perspective, we were delighted by the positive comments from the press overall, the interest in our appliances and the separate brand strategies we have worked hard to achieve for both De Dietrich and Fagor.

'Overall, it was a very exciting show for us, and we are looking forward to a very successful year ahead.'

Going paperless for the first time, the Press Office hosted over 110 journalists, heading to a more sustainable future by handing out digital press packs.

As a natural extension of the successful KBB Birmingham event, the launch of KBB London will bring together the leading names within this marketplace to Earls Court in the heart of the country's capital from the 17th to the 19th May 2009.

Mark Scott, General Manager, STEEL Cuisine comments: 'I thought it was a great show case to launch my product to the UK market. I was very impressed with the quality of the trade visitors and based on the success of this show we are going to book for the next one!'

Kbb incorporating HPE and Expotile 2008 proved to be an outstanding show: stands looked fabulous, products were innovative, aisles were busy with high quality visitors, press coverage was intense and we are all ready for Earls Court next year.
