Magnet
goes Wilde
National
kitchen retailer Magnet has teamed up with popstar and green-fingered
Mum-of-two Kim Wilde to front its 2008 PR and marketing campaign.
Kim will help to promote Magnets striking new green kitchen range,
Urban Citrique to front an initiative to help Brits get more environmentally
friendly in the kitchen, will show green fingered counter parts how to
create a kitchen garden and help Magnet to reach ABC1 Mums with interesting
home interest and parenting tips.
She will also share some of her favourite home-grown family recipes with
Magnet customers online.
Famous for her chart topping singles including Kids in America
and You keep me hangin on, Kim still balances European
tours with motherhood and her passion the garden. She has also
written a book on Gardening With Children and is an advocate
of green living.
Having experienced two very interesting lifestyles from Wilde child
to gardening guru, Magnet believes Kim will appeal to its
core family audience and help to raise its profile in the media and on
its website throughout the important retail sale periods.

Anjum
Ahmed, head of marketing at Magnet, said: Kims passion for
her children, the family, ethical living, cooking and the garden makes
her the ideal ambassador for the Magnet brand.
She will help to grow our media voice in core home interest titles,
as well as generate press coverage for the brand in womens, parenting,
gardening and cookery titles all read by our main target audience.
The campaign will focus on the kitchen as the heart of the home
and encourage families to turn off the TV to partake in fun and practical
activities such as horticulture and cooking.
Kim Wilde said: Im really excited to be working with Magnet
to launch the new Urban Citrique kitchen and show how kitchens can be
used for all sorts of different purposes from entertaining, activities
with the kids and how to create a greener kitchen, all the things I am
passionate about.
Magnets PR agency is Manchester based Brazen PR who is leading the
campaign. Magnets retail advertising and web activity is handled
by CheethamBellJWT, also based in Manchester.
