HPP Brings Blum’s Perfect Motion to the UK

Furniture component supplier, HPP, has been selected to be one of the first UK stockists of Blum’s SERVO-DRIVE system.

The award winning SERVO-DRIVE system is an electrical drive support system which enables pull-outs to open with either a light touch or pull and is perfectly matched to the TANDEMBOX pull-out system.

The basis of the system is an electrical drive that triggers the opening system. Thanks to BLUMOTION, pull-outs whether heavy or light, narrow or wide and with or without handles will open and reclose silently and effortlessly.

The electrical drive is not fitted to the runner system; instead it works by sending an electric signal from a transformer held within the unit run.

The transformer can be attached to any normal power supply which makes it easy to deactivate, which whilst ensuring energy efficiency also makes it easier to clean drawer frontals.

The system also has a failsafe whereby the drawer can still be opened in the event of a power failure

Stephen Hill, managing director of HPP, said: 'The SERVO-DRIVE system and its related accessories will become one of those must have products for customers who want only the very highest specification in their kitchens.

'It is a fantastic component that can be incorporated into any existing TANDEMBOX system.'

HPP, which employs over 130 staff at its sites in Oldham and Sheffield, provides melamine-faced components, vinyl doors and fittings to more than 2000 clients throughout the UK.
