Trustmark Status for KBSA

The Kitchen Bathroom Bedroom Specialists Association (KBSA) has announced that it has been granted 'approved scheme operator' status within the Government backed Trustmark scheme. This programme is described by the Government itself as part of its 'anti-cowboy' legislation.

Trustmark helps consumers find reliable and trustworthy professional tradesmen to carry out repairs and improvements to the inside and outside of their homes from a national database of members that have all satisfied the same strict criteria for membership.

Tony Nicholas, Chairman of the KBSA commented: ‘This is tremendously exciting for the KBSA and another major development that makes the KBSA membership a 'must have' for quality specialist retailers.

‘Becoming an approved scheme operator is strategically important for the KBSA as it now offers its members another real opportunity to gain a competitive advantage in their areas, and generate more business from customers.

‘KBSA members will be able to offer consumers unrivalled peace of mind with the added protection of ConsumerCare Plus and now the Government Trustmark endorsement of the professionalism and integrity of our members.’

Trustmark is a national scheme which was established in 2005 and now has 27 registered scheme operators and almost 14,000 approved firms.

‘We have a comprehensive promotion and communication plan in place to ensure that consumers understand the added benefits of dealing with KBSA members,’ added Mr Nicholas. ‘We will also be using the Trustmark status in our new member recruitment campaign as individual businesses are not able to gain Trustmark status as a stand alone business but must be part of a company or association that has approved scheme operator status.’
