FIRA
Environmental Workshop
FIRA
has organised a half day environmental workshop in the north of England
on the morning of 9th July.
With customers becoming increasingly discerning, independent proof of
your organisation's commitment to sustainable development could make the
difference when it comes to future competitiveness. This is already happening
in the contract sector, and is beginning to affect the domestic market.
Under the auspices of FIRA's Club Green initiative, the event at the Wakefield
Travelodge, Woolley Edge M1 South will discuss latest developments within
the Furniture Industry Sustainability Programme (FISP), which enjoys support
from all the main trade organisations. Led by FIRA Environmental Consultant
Alun Watkins, the event will cover how to comply with legislation and
how to introduce environmental management systems.
There will also be a demonstration of FIRA's newly launched Furniture
Footprinter. This industry-specific online tool has been enthusiastically
received, with a number of companies having already signed up to use it.
The workshop is free for FIRA members, and £25 for non members.
A full programme is available in our training section here; to book a
place, please call Catherine Boyd on 01438 777700 or email events@fira.co.uk.
