Showerlux Delivers Silver Service for Hotel Group

Each of the en-suite bathrooms of a new 50-bedroom annex extension at the Macdonald Old England Hotel & Spa on the shores of Lake Windermere have been fitted with Showerlux shower doors and panels from the company's contemporary 'Simply' range.

As a result of the quality product and service Showerlux delivered to the 102-bedroom Old England Hotel & Spa, the company has been named the preferred supplier of shower doors to Macdonald Hotels & Resorts, which operates over 40 four and five star properties across the UK.

The design and technical team at Showerlux, one of the UK's leading manufacturers of bathroom products, created an 'almost bespoke' installation solution for the Cumbria hotel in the picturesque village of Bowness. Whilst the shower door and side panel installed is part of the company's standard 'Simply' classic product range, the application and installation challenges were unique, as the company's Nick Barton explains:

‘We liaised extensively with the building contractors constructing the new annex at the Macdonald Old England Hotel to arrive at a solution for the shower, its door and side panel, which effectively 'worked around' the planned bathroom furniture and concealed plumbing.

‘The result is a two-third pentangle shaped showering unit that features the Showerlux 'Simply' pivoting door and a single glass panel.’

As well as design and manufacture, Showerlux offers a comprehensive installation service, and undertook the fitting of all items in each of the 50 en-suite bathrooms at the hotel, to complete the project.
