Light
Up your Life with Miele die Küche
Award
winning kitchen manufacturer Miele die Küche says that
it is the only company to offer customers a choice of eight different
ways to not only illuminate, but enhance their kitchens.
Introducing the moodlight concept, a lighting system which uses both white
and coloured lighting to enhance the atmosphere of the room, emphasise
its linearity and Illuminate furniture elements, bringing a new dimension
to kitchen living.
The moodlight concept can be incorporated into any kitchen design in a
variety of different ways, and offers an extensive choice of 23 different
colour combinations to ensure the kitchen is always seen in a different
light, whatever the time of day.
You can select a specific colour to enhance your mood, pick the automatic
colour changing option or save your favourite colours to memory, all with
the flick of a switch via the remote control.
The midway system light panel, which scooped a Kitchen Furnishings award
at the RedDot Product Design Awards and Gold at the iF Product Design
Awards, marries function and style, providing both mood and worktop lighting.
This new LED-lit glass back panel, which can be produced up to three metres
in length, evenly illuminates the length of the working area while creating
cosy atmospheric lighting. Its stainless coloured framework, with slightly
mirrored safety glass provides reflective light even when the lighting
is switched off. While the horizontally ribbed reflective back panel directs
the light straight back onto the work surface, preventing any glare. And
whats more this lighting module has an extremely narrow depth of
only 45mm enabling virtually full depth of the worktop to be used.
Or why not marry form and function with Miele die Küches range
of glazed units with integrated LED lighting? These units can be designed
to fit any kitchen, working equally well as wall units or as a more decorative
living area piece, and the use of glass and aluminium automatically introduces
more light into a darker space. The bank of four units look particularly
effective as the wall of light steeps the kitchen in ever changing hues.
Console
lighting for installation in the top or bottom of units casts an even
light for working in, as well as providing attractive internal cupboard
lighting and enhancing the overall appearance of the wall units.
To further set the scene Miele die Küche can provide lighting consoles
used for shelving and built in lights within the wall units. Whilst illuminated
glass shelving inside Miele die Küches units uses LED lighting
to light the shelves from behind, to perfectly display the best china
and allow a clear view of the contents at all times of the day.
Other new navigational lighting serves as an atmospheric backdrop, utilising
integrated aluminium rails with LEDs to illuminate the inside of units,
drawers and pull outs, so finding your way couldnt be easier.
While under worktop lighting and illuminated carcass base units provide
mood lighting in fresh, transparent colours to complement or provide contrast
to your kitchen colour palette. The under worktop lighting can be added
to any combination of worktop or base unit and creates as attractive optical
effect with the light flowing down into the shell handle.
Jim Gettings, Managing Director of AFG Kitchens UK who markets and distributes
the Miele kitchen brand in the UK comments: 'With todays ever increasing
need for harmonious living designs, the kitchen area has to work harder
its a room of many uses and it should reflect not only the personality
of its owner but also complement its surroundings.
'Rather than re-decorate every time you feel like a change, our innovative
lighting solutions really can change the mood of the room, and with 23
different colour options, theres a choice of subtle hues for a romantic
dinner or vibrant colours for a party. They say its the finishing
touches that can make the difference, Miele die Küche gives you eight
different ways to do just that.'
