Home Baker of the Year Launches at Poggenpohl Manchester

Sticky cakes were the order of the day at Poggenpohl's Manchester studio on 10th April. The newly-opened showroom enjoyed a visit from actress and queen of home baking, Jane Asher, to launch the Home Baker of the Year award 2008.

The final of the popular competition, now in its fourth year, will also be held at the studio on 9th October 2008. Five finalists, chosen by Ms Asher, will present their mouth-watering recipes and the winner will receive a £25,000 Poggenpohl kitchen with appliances.

Marketing and Dealership Manager, Robert Laurie, commented: ‘We are delighted to be associated with an initiative that encourages people of all ages to spend time in the kitchen creating delicious food - and what better than the traditional art of home baking? We look forward to designing the winner's kitchen as we know it will be for a real enthusiast.’
