Smashes Environmental Targets
Shades has just released its environmental
target results for 2007 and the picture couldn't be greener - the figures
are not only excellent for the company, but for the environment too.
Shades' parent company Moores sets stringent annual objectives and targets
for improvements in energy consumption, waste to landfill reduction and
water consumption and the newly released figures show that objectives
have not only been met, but exceeded: energy consumption exceeded by 1.32%,
landfill reduction exceeded by 12.45% and water consumption is 19% less
than in 2006.
Environmental initiatives started at Moores over 20 years ago with the
installation of two waste wood boilers. This has expanded to become a
total environmental commitment and ensures that Moores has not only a
sustainable approach to business, but also a proven track record as a
forward thinking, eco-friendly supplier to its client base.
'We are delighted in the latest figures showing our on-going pledge to
sustainable practices. Staff across the entire organisation have worked
extremely hard to exceed our targets and objectives and are motivated
to continue in this successful vein for years to come,' says Engineering
Services Manager Pete Marsh.
Moores continued environmental policy ensures the company supports its
customers' work towards their own rating and targets for sustainability.
