FIRA Appoints New Testing Boss

FIRA International has appointed Mark Bronka as Operations Manager, Testing Services.

Having previously had the title of Testing Manager, the role has been vacant since Phil Reynolds became Head of FIRA's Commercial department at the beginning of the year.
Mark began his career as an apprentice with the Ford Motor Company, and during 33 years with the firm he held a wide variety of positions in a number of locations, including Spain, Germany, Brazil and China. Ford also sponsored his Masters degree in Engineering. His last role was as a New Programme Manager for Ford's Engine Division, and he was also European Prototype Manager.

After leaving Ford he spent 18 months advising and conducting risk assessments for underwriters and loss adjustors in the insurance market, before joining FIRA.
‘I was attracted to this position as it represents a change of direction, and FIRA's expansion plans appeal to me,’ he said. ‘I was amazed at the volume of work that goes through the testing facilities here, and also the expertise and knowledge that is key to FIRA's success. One of my first duties will be to look at opportunities for growth within personnel and machine constrained testing areas.’
