Minimalist, contemporary, modern-rustic and traditional are the design trends behind the launch of four taps from PWS. The taps, supplied by Bristan, are designed to appeal to a wide range of tastes while offering the latest in tap aesthetics.

The Pendant monobloc sink mixer features an unusual soap dispenser. With its curved spout and side-mounted single lever with comfortable easy grip finish, Pendant offers retailers a tap which can sit with the majority of kitchen styles. Drawing its inspiration from the traditional French tap designs of yesteryear, the Country single lever tap is suitable for use with Belfast and Farmhouse style sinks and is available in bronze or a chrome finish.

Trevi Launch ABS Capped Shower Tray Range

New Dimension For Durastone Range

The tough, non-slip Durastone Showertray range from Polypipe Bathroom & Kitchen Products recently received a major upgrade. The introduction of tiling upstands and trays with adjustable legs and panels adds a new dimension to this already popular and cost-effective range.

The upstands on the Durastone trays are vacuum formed during the manufacturing process and filled with resin bonded stone, eliminating the possibility of detachment from the tray during installation. The vacuum process also ensures sealing integrity capable of withstanding differential movement due to building settlement. The Square and Rectangular tray shapes are now offered with four formats of upstand the Quadrant and Pentangle with two each.

The technology for the Durastone Riser Trays with adjustable feet and loose panels has been adapted and enhanced from that used in the kitchen cabinet industry. Nothing is more welcoming following a vigorous work-out in the gym or energetic swim than a luxurious hot shower ... but sadly all most keep fit fanatics can look forward to at their local health club is a shower producing a feeble trickle that resembles the output of a child's watering can! 'Off Means Off' ... with Deva

A new minimalistic collection of thermostatic showers was launched at the Deva stand during EXPO - featuring the latest fusion of technology and design.

Deva's new range of thermostatic shower valves, available in exposed and concealed versions, feature the combination of eye catching designs with the latest advancements in technology.

Regular live demonstrations throughout the show illustrated the shower's 'off means off' control mechanism. Deva's technical experts assembled and dismantled the valve to illustrate its ease of servicing and maintenance. When the valve is not in use, it can be easily serviced, there and then, requiring no lengthy valve isolation - meaning minimum fuss and time.

Available in five new designs, the thermostatic properties mean the valve constantly controls and maintains temperature at all times - if the water pressure changes in the building, due to water consumption happening else where, the level of water control and temperature will remain stable.
Additionally, a built-in safety mechanism will shut the valve down should the temperature deviate from a preset level - set in the factory or manually. So, if the hot or cold water supply fails, the valve will shut down to prevent freezing or scalding a person.

Allegra Variarc - Hansgrohe Expands its Range of Kitchen Mixers - Functional and Timelessly Elegant

Hansgrohe has expanded it range of kitchen mixers in the Allegra Variarc product line. Two current models round out the line, whose distinguishing characteristic is a slim round pipe with a high spout. The new mixers expand the work area at the sink with the practical extendable filler or a comfortable extendable sprayer. Two spray modes - normal and effervescent spray - can be used with the extendable sprayer. The window installation option is also new. When opening the window, the mixers can be lifted quickly and laid to the side. In the normal upright position, a cylindrical plug provides stability. The handle placement is also flexible in the Variarc models; it can be mounted to the right, to the left or in the middle, according to personal preferences.

All models in the Allegra Variarc line are equipped with the Boltic handle locking mechanism that gives the handle solid hold even after years of use. The Rubit function prevents lime scale deposit on the aerator and sprayer. A quick rub with a finger or a cloth is enough, and water flows again unhampered. The M3 cartridge, which facilitates the precise adjustment of the desired temperature, is not only durable but also easy to use. A sturdy, non-metal hose ensures quiet use of the sprayer.

Deva has extended its specialist brassware range by introducing a new collection of electronic taps and showers suitable for specialist applications where a touch-free operation is required.

Mains or battery operated, the five new designs offer high performance and reliability and are sensor-operated for hygienic and efficient use. Manufactured using state-of-the-art materials, the range also offers resistance to vandalism and misuse. Water temperature can be adjusted by a lever on the side and sensors include limescale remover and scratch resistant features.

The Dia 1200 design is suitable for cold or pre-mixed water and the sturdy brass tap body is solid and compact for style and durability. Like the other lines, the Dia 1200 is resin coated with a microprocessor-driven electronic circuit. Speedy 216 is a minimalist looking wall recessed electronic tap, suitable for modern premises. A 185mm chrome plated brass spout extends from a stainless steel plate with vandal-proof screws and a sensor range of 12-40cm.

The Splashmix 200 is an electronic system for a single shower and the outer stainless steel unit is corrosion and wear resistant. The mixer knob allows the user to adjust water temperature and the sensor's range of action is 20-70cm. All products in the new electronic collection operate under a water pressure of 0.4 - 7 bar.

Pegler Feels The Need To Push With Terrier

With the expectation that plastic tube will grow to over 27% of the total market by 2006 at the expense of traditional types, mainly copper tube, Pegler is keen to have a part of this growing market. Push-fit fittings are predicted to double their volume over the same period at the expense of more traditional fittings as copper tube is increasingly displaced by plastic types.
