An International Business
Several stories this week illustrate how international a business the Kitchen and Bathroom is nowadays. We hear from American Standard, which has had a record second quarter and points to the fact that it has exhibited its bathroom products this year in Las Vegas, London and Moscow, as well as launching new lines in the USA, Europe and China. LG, meanwhile, took over part of the Science Museum to launch its new vacuum cleaner, The Cyking and Dornbracht has installed 4,800 fittings at the $2.7bn Wynn Las Vegas Hotel.

American Standard has announced record second-quarter sales, net income and earnings per diluted share. Earnings were 95 cents per diluted share in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), up 30 percent from 73 cents a year ago.
