All Hands to the Pump

Management changes at Bristan last week suggest that it's a case of all hands to the pump to get the new corporate headquarter finished on schedule. Roger Williams has taken over the role of MD to free up Steve Lee to adopt the more fluid chief exec role which will allow him to oversee the final stages of building and fitting out of the new super-premises, and the integration of new product lines.

This week we have also had two significant events
: the launch of the sleek new Linear Series of ovens and hobs from Smeg, at its headquarters in Abingdon (see picture, right); and the opening of the LG Harrods window, which is stuffed full of high end LG electronic goodies - including a side by side fridge freezer with built in TV, - just in time for Christmas!

Finally, we hear of two unmissable opportunities at KBB 2006: a weekend break for two in Rome is being given away to a lucky visitor to the - you guessed it - Roman Showers stand; while on the Victoria & Albert stand an equally fortunate visitor will walk away with (well, not literally) a Sorrento bath designed in Flower Power style by artist Beverley Fry (pictured left).

More on all these stories below.

• Our preview of KBB 2006 is here, if you are exhibiting, and have not yet sent information in for our stand guide, please email to debbie@thekbzine.com
