'Tis the Season

Jacuzzi announced its year end and Q4 financial results this week, which show something of a mixed market. Overall, total group sales remained flat, but this masks the true story, which was a 14.6% increase for the plumbing division and a corresponding decline in the bath division. 'The decrease in the Bath Products segment resulted from the slow down in the U.K. market and softness in the Italian bath and U.S. spa markets', the company says. The management changes made in the summer are expected to turn the bath products segment round in 2006.

Other news this week includes the retirement of well known industry character Bob Ball, of William Ball, who many will have seen gradually shrinking over the year to lose an incredible 12 stones. Bob is off to live in Perth, Western Australia and we wish him the best of luck. Brother and Joint MD Terry will be taking over.

Finally, this is our last K&BZine before Christmas, so may we wish all our readers happy holidays and a prosperous New Year, The K&BZine will be back in your inbox on the 6th of January.

• Our preview of KBB 2006 is here, if you are exhibiting, and have not yet sent information in for our stand guide, please email to debbie@thekbzine.com
