Leaps Forward on the Web
Technology for the kitchen design market made a quantum leap this week
with the announcement that Neff has collaborated with Planit
to
become the first built-in kitchen appliance brand
to be fully supported and maintained on Planit's Fusion design system.
From 1st September, Planit users have been able to access a unique link
to Neff's website which will enable detailed cooking product specifications
to be accessed and evaluated on screen directly from the Fusion
design system.
Apart from the internet, another good growth area at the moment is the
contract market, with business to be had in public sector, commercial
and new build developments.
Zanussi-Electrolux tells us that its appliances feature in the
first of Home Factory's new range of designer homes for the Housing
Association market. We also hear from Nicholas Anthony that in
luxury housing developments, some 40% of the kitchen budget is now being
spent on appliances.
Some welcome news on a couple of industry characters, meanwhile: ex
KBSA president Graham Hayden has resurfaced with a series
of training courses, while designer Robin Levien has been awarded
an Honorary Doctorate by Staffordshire University. Good Luck and Congratulations
