It's all About People

This week seems to be quite heavy on people stories, with a number of key appointments being announced. Imperial Bathrooms has elevated Robin Wright, James Stevenson and David Leary to the Board and
Bristan is singing the praises of Guy Dunkerley, the recently appointed Supply Chain Director who has helped make the transition to the new Tamworth HQ as painless as possible (see News).

On the marketing and PR front, meanwhile, the BMA welcomes Karen Myles as its new marketing manager, while the BMA's ex-Training Manager Richard Moss has cropped up as the in-house PR Manager for the increasingly international kitchen designer Mark Wilkinson (see News).

We also hear of further appointments at Mayfair Brassware, Victoria & Albert, Merlyn Industries and Crosswater (see People).

If you were beginning to wonder when Nanotechnology would surface (no pun intended) in the KBB industry, worry no more, it's here! This latest coating technology can make kitchen and bathroom surfaces bacteria free for a fraction of the cost of existing methods, says manufacturer Nanopool, and is already a multimillion pound industry in Germany, where you can apparently buy nanos in supermarkets (see News).

Finally, for those of you who like a challenge on a Friday afternoon, try making sense of the technical argument, kindly hosted by our friends at the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), about whether or not the Electrolux bagless vacuum cleaner cleans its own filters. And guess who complained to the ASA?
