Electrolux
Closes Spennymoor, Nobia Sells CP Hart
After Electrolux announced
an 'investigation' into its Spennymoor facility (which we reported in
the KBZine on 12th October - you can read the original article here),
it was only a matter of time before this week's sad announcement that
the plant is to close with the loss of around 400 jobs.
Nobia, meanwhile, has sold CP Hart to a private equity
company owned by Kevin Ohle and Richard Reynolds. Terms were not disclosed,
but CP Hart turned over around £17m last year.
Also this week, a sneak preview of MFI's new 'designer' offering,
aiming - successfully, it would appear - to raise the quality of the
brand.
We
