A Greener Shade of Pale

Welcome Back to The K&BZine, and we hope all our readers had a pleasant Easter break, without it being spoilt too much by Alistair Darling's so-called Green Budget. The BMA remains unimpressed by this government's green credentials, with the budget containing no incentives to encourage energy and water efficient improvements to existing housing stock, or incentives for energy and water efficient products.

The BMA's campaign to reduce VAT to 5% on energy efficient home improvements continues, as does its voluntary Water Efficient Product Labelling Scheme, which has attracted praise from DEFRA, according to this month's BMA News (below).

More reviews of new products seen at the KBB Show are also included in this week's issue, along with news of appliance launches from PJH and PAB.

Finally, don't forget the clocks go forward this weekend!
