Likewise, Elcobrandt, with sales for 2003 only up 1.3% on the previous year, has announced a development budget of 120 million Euros. Interesting news from Whirlpool Corporation, meanwhile, which has reported strong first quarter sales and earnings despite the continuing bugbear of currency fluctuations. | ||||||||

Whirlpool
has started building a cooking appliance plant in Poland which aims to
be in production early next year. The company recently presented its plans
for the European kitchen market to some 2,000 retailers in Cannes.
