DebbieGood news for Maytag UK this week, having finally found a new managing director in the form of Richard Thompson, who has had a distinguished career with stints at Creda, Russell Hobbs and Bauknecht. John Pinto, caretaker MD for the past six months, has returned to the USA, where Maytag is embroiled in a labour dispute which has led to the closure of one of its laundry plants. He is probably already wishing he was back in sunny ol' England!
