I considered this quite timely, with Part III of the Disability Discrimination Act due to come into force in a couple of years.

The fact is, however, that we did not receive a satisfactory answer to this problem, which is why I am flagging it up a bit more prominently this week. Is there really no-one out there looking into this problem or at least scheduling it into their R&D efforts? Some people did suggest installing the appliance at head height, on the worktop, but this would not work in this particular situation.
