Kitchen Republic said: 'Retailers told us that there was a freshness about

Notably, there was a strong kitchen furniture presence that othger exhibitions

reports First Quarter Results, and Attributes Lower Sales to Currency
Exchange Rates
Operating
profit of Sanitec International for the first quarter of 2003 was EUR
15.1 million (2002: 12.3 million), an increase of EUR 2.8 million or 22.8%
over the first quarter of 2002. In the first quarter of 2003 operating
profit margin increased to 6.2% of net sales compared to 4.9% in the first
quarter of the previous year. Restructuring in the ceramics production
network as well as savings in sales, general, and administration costs
contributed to this increase.

and the USA. Additional uncertainty was created among consumers in Germany

Standard Reports Double-Digit Increases in Sales, Net Income and EPS
American Standard Companies Inc. announced on 16th April first-quarter
earnings of 87 cents per diluted share, up 12 percent from first quarter
last year. These earnings are consistent with the companys January
estimate for the quarter of 85-90 cents. Sales were a record $1.95 billion,
up 11 percent from a year ago. Net income rose to $63.8 million, up 12
percent.
