KBSA launches 'Boost your business' recruitment campaign

The KBSA has launched a major recruitment campaign for 2011 based around the theme of how KBSA membership can boost business.

A new recruitment flyer forms the basis of the recruitment programme which will be widely distributed via a number of different channels.This will be supported with an electronic mailing and a new recruitment presentation for when new prospects are followed up.

"The prevailing economic climate is making consumers more demanding and cautious about choosing a reputable retailer," warns KBSA CEO Graham Ball. "The KBSA is the only association for specialist retailers that can demonstrate excellence in design and service with the added peace of mind that comes from the strict criteria for membership.  There has never been a better time for retailers to join.

"Many potential members don't realise that the cost of membership is much less than the savings that can be made from the deals available on business overhands and the exclusive discounts that come from our corporate members."

KBSA membership criteria dictates that businesses must have a showroom with full displays, project manage the full installation, only take a 25% deposit  and have been trading for a minimum of two years before they can  apply.

"The strict criteria for membership will exclude some retailers but we know that there are many quality retailers who could join who have previously thought that the KBSA was not for them," adds Graham.

"We hope that this campaign will illustrate that displaying the most trusted consumer mark in the sector has substantial value and that membership can make a real difference to profitability."

The KBSA is a national trade association founded more than 30 years ago to promote excellence within the interiors industry and champion consumer protection. Around 300 retailer members throughout the UK support the KBSA.

KBSA members are dedicated to upholding the association's high standards of design, supply, installation and customer service throughout the interiors industry. All members are carefully vetted prior to admission and they must have been trading for at least two years in order to be considered for membership.

KBSA retailers also offer full deposit protection, work in progress cover and a 6-year workmanship warranty.

In addition, all members are subject to regular monitoring of their businesses to ensure levels of quality are continually maintained.
