British Ceramic Tile appears at London Fashion Week

A leading UK tile manufacturer, British Ceramic Tile, has made its first appearance at the world famous London Fashion Week (LFW), an event that attracts famous faces and the most important people in the fashion industry from across the globe.

The company that designs and manufactures its market leading tile collections here in Britain has supplied tiles to the HIX Cafe in a move to communicate its design credential to fashion influencers attending the event. The pop-up restaurant of Brewer Street Car Park by Mark Hix is situated in the Designer Showrooms space designed by David Collins Studio.

The classic Cookhouse Character white tile collection, usually known for its rustic, country feel has been updated with a contemporary twist through the use of KeraKoll black grout. The tiles were showcased along the back wall of the cafe, and across the bar, resulting in a clean, trend-led monochrome finish.
"We were thrilled to be given the opportunity to work alongside such a high-profile, iconic event in the fashion industry," says Caryn Clarke, marketing director at British Ceramic Tile. "As a design-led company we're committed to raising the profile of tiles as a style statement in the home.

"Tiles these days have become much more of a fashion accessory, rather than functional necessity, which can be seen in our latest designer collaboration with Ted Baker. This collaboration with LFW is certainly a step in the right direction, and has proved to be a fantastic talking point for our retailers."

Brian Jones, producer at Blonstein Creative Production working in partnership with London Fashion Week, adds: "We wanted to team up with a home-grown company as part of London Fashion Week, and celebrate the best of British. They were on hand to offer advice, which helped us to achieve the finish and style we hoped for in the HIX Cafe."
