Have you seen 'Britain's Ugliest Bathroom'?

Old fashioned, rusty, dripping taps...limescale covered showers that can barely manage a trickle....novelty shower curtains....brown swirly wallpaper from the 1970s - do these sound familiar?  If so, you might have Britain's Ugliest Bathroom and you could be in for a treat - a complete bathroom makeover!

Grohe this week announced a nationwide search for Britain's Ugliest Bathroom in association with top interiors website mydeco.com.  People all over the UK are living with ugly bathrooms that prevent them from enjoying their showering or bathing experience to the full. Grohe is inviting people to enter the competition and show off their bathroom design nightmares, to be in with a chance of winning a bathroom makeover courtesy of Grohe and partners in the New Year.

The competition page will host a range of hints and tips on updating and upgrading your bathroom in addition to offering users the chance to take a look at some bathroom horrors!

To be in with chance of winning all you have to do is take a photo or upload a video of your bathroom or the bathroom you would like to nominate to www.mydeco.com/competitions/ugly-bathroom.

The competition will be judged by a panel of design experts including Grohe's UK General Manager Paul Watson, Pia Mundey from mydeco.com and Vanessa Brady, President of the Society of British Interior Design.

"Bathroom fittings make a big difference to how your bathroom looks and your overall experience when showering or taking a bath - both the style and performance of your taps and showers are key," says Paul Machin-Davis, Head of UK Marketing.  "Grohe products offer stunning design and amazing quality, and we are delighted to offer this superior experience to one lucky winner."

Top interior designer Vanessa Brady expands on this, saying: "Bathrooms can add a great deal of extra value to your home so are worth investing in. This competition will give one lucky winner a complete bathroom makeover plus everyone who gets involved will find out ways to upgrade their bathroom. We spend an average of seven days a year in the bathroom, so there's really no reason not to make it as fabulous as possible!"

Five shortlisted entries will be put to the public vote in early January in order to find Britain's Ugliest Bathroom.  The lucky winner will be announced at the end of January and will receive a complete bathroom makeover in February.

The four other finalists will each receive £150 off Grohe products (to help upgrade their existing bathrooms) to spend in selected showrooms in their regional area.
