* Simon_Uform.jpgUform has announced the appointment of Simon Oliphant as its new managing director. Simon will be responsible for providing leadership of the company's fast growing operations and delivery of the company's five-year strategic plan and will report to the newly appointed chairman Eamon Donnelly.

Commenting on his recent promotion, Simon explains: 'I am delighted to be appointed managing director of Uform. With the recent surge in growth and the introduction of new, innovative products, it's an exciting and challenging time to lead such a strong and passionate team into the next phase of growth.

"Our aim is to be easier to do business with and ultimately, we want to continue to enhance and add value for our independent kitchen retailers. I am confident that through the recent £3million investment and ongoing planned investments, Uform will go from strength to strength and provide the customer with a premium buying experience through products that offer a real point of difference with assured quality."

Simon joined Uform in 2007 and has evolved within the company having initially served as procurement manager, progressing to operations manager in 2010 and general manager in 2013. During his time he has gained invaluable experience and has assisted with the strategic direction of the business and aligned needs against growth from both a people and processes perspective.

Eamon Donnelly will now step into the role of company chairman and will continue to manage the sales & marketing functions of the business. Commenting on the recent management restructure, Eamon explains: "We are thrilled to appoint Simon to his new role. He has a tremendous understanding of the kitchen market and the varied needs of retailers, coupled with the right skill set. He will be a significant asset to the company and with his experience, ongoing drive and commitment, I have every confidence he will lead and direct Uform to the next phase of planned growth.

"We care greatly for our people and customers alike and have enjoyed considerable success over recent years. With this new appointment, our clear vision for the future and our strategic plan, we are confident this success will continue."
