To simplify the tedious task of doing laundry and help families save time, Haier has launched the revolutionary washing machine, the Haier Duo, in the UK this Summer. A one-of-a kind innovation, Haier's latest laundry appliance features not one, but two drums, allowing up to two wash cycles to run simultaneously, according to the user's needs.
Only one water mains inlet is required to supply both drums which makes it practical for installation anywhere at home.
Highly economical with an A+++ - 30% energy rating and integrated with specific features (including an intuitive digital interface, a protective Pillow Drum, Smart Drive Motors and Smart Dual Spray), Haier Duo offers an optimised washing experience. Presented as one of Haier's flagship products for 2016, the Haier Duo received positive reviews at last year's IFA show in Berlin.
Users wash on average 220 loads of laundry over the course of a year, equivalent to more than 330 hours' washing time. In view of this, the Haier Duo was created as a way to help users to save time without having to wait between cycles to wash fabrics of varying colours and materials.
With its innovative dual-drum design, the Haier Duo makes it possible for users to launch two different cycles, simultaneously or individually, depending on their needs - a testament of Haier's ability to imagine and develop practical solutions for daily use by its consumers.
Up to 12kg of laundry can be washed simultaneously (upper drum: 4kg; lower drum: 8kg), with a wide range of programmes available on each drum (upper drum: 12 programmes; lower drum: 18 programmes). The appliance is also equipped with two circular beltless 'Smart Drive' motors connected directly to the drums with a 10-year warranty on each motor, thereby ensuring:
* Less noise (up to 50dB in washing and 70dB in spinning)
* Less vibration
* And optimum durability of the washing machine
* Accelerating further time savings, the integrated 'Smart Opening' technology allows the doors to open automatically at the end of each wash cycle.
The Haier Duo features a 'Pillow Drum', a protective padding designed to provide care for the most delicate of fabrics, as clothes slip along the pillows inside the drum while the machine is operating.
With the objective of optimising the washing experience, other smart technology features include the 'Smart Dual Spray', for fluff-free washing and stain remover functions, the 'Anti-stain', for removal of stains under any circumstances and Haier's 'Anti-Bacterial Treatment (ABT)', prevents bacteria from proliferating in the detergent drawer and gasket, with a proven removal rate of over 99.8%.
The appliance has a digital interface accessible via a 7-inch TFT touchscreen which has gained international recognition having been awarded the IF Design Award 2015. This latest interface simplifies the use of the washing machine and its drums, allowing users to customise their wash cycles with practical advice and accessibility.
