Smeg UK welcomes two new additions to its growing regional sales team

Smeg has announced the appointment of Keith Hayes (North West & West Midlands) and Daniel Heath (North East, Yorkshire, East Midlands) as regional sales managers across the independent retail channel.

With over 20 years' experience in a variety of regional, national and key account management roles, Keith joins Smeg from Glen Dimplex Home Appliances. Formerly Keith has worked for many years at Armour Home Electronics and the Guardian Media Group.

Daniel, with over 10 years' experience in consumer electronics, had spent a brief spell at appliances distributor, Portway, and prior to this, five years as area sales manager at Samsung. Formerly, Daniel was also heavily involved in training and field sales roles for Samsung and Sony.

Both appointments come as a result of restructuring within Smeg's sales team and the promotion of Richie Bleasdale and Georgette Hurdiss into National Account roles, signifying Smeg's ongoing commitment to investing in and growing its sales team in the UK. Both Keith and Daniel will report to recently promoted Gareth Blenkinsop, Head of Retail- North, who's well versed in overseeing the role, having successfully grown the company's regional business for many years.
