British Ceramic Tile extends its feature floor collection with the launch of Retro

* BCT-Retro-FF_leopard.jpgFloors have fast become a main attraction in the home. Once the supporting act to walls, floors are now central to design schemes with homeowners paying attention to what makes an impact underfoot.

Sales of ceramic floor tiles in particular are on the up, with homeowners turning to ceramic as a practical, hard-wearing design-led alternative to carpet, laminate and porcelain tiles.

A new addition to British Ceramic Tile's Feature Floor collection is Retro, inspired by the Victorian floors of old. Featuring a geometric pattern in a classic monochrome colour scheme, Retro offers contemporary appeal yet remains true to its design roots, paying homage to a classic era.

* BCT-Retro-lifestyle.jpgWith its striking, repeating pattern, Retro is all about making a statement. Think big and bold. Made from ceramic, it's well suited to high traffic areas such as the hallway or kitchen, and can be used to create a variety of different looks from traditional, vintage design schemes through to modern room makeovers.

Available in a 33x33cm size, Retro works equally well on walls or floors providing maximum flexibility to retailers and homeowners. With this one tile fits all approach, homeowners can focus on their floor or continue the look on to walls.

There's been a big trend towards creating the fifth wall. Plain designs have been replaced by pattern and texture for floors that are more visually exciting.

"With our Feature Floors collection, retailers can effectively tap into this trend and offer their customers tiles that are guaranteed to make an impact, while being a practical option at the same time. Ceramic floor tiles are a winner all round saving time and installation costs while delivering on style."

The new Retro tile forms part of the Feature Floor collection from British Ceramic Tile, which offers a selection of stand-out designs including traditional and contemporary styles.

British Ceramic Tile is the UKs leading ceramic and glass tile manufacturer. With three locations nationwide in London, Devon and Yorkshire, the company offers a design-led, market-leading portfolio of wall and floor tiles, supplying directly to national and independent tile retailers, housebuilders and specifiers, as well as exporting overseas.
