Caple kits out Black Cow distillery with high-performance appliances

Caple has joined forces with boutique vodka brand Black Cow to supply appliances to the kitchen in the distillery's new 'brand home', which features a kitchen and bar alongside the distillery at Childhay Manor Farm, West Dorset.

Black Cow's Bar + Kitchen has been designed to cater for cooking demonstrations where visitors can pay for tasting experiences. After a tour of the distillery and learning a few cocktail-making tricks of the trade, visitors sit down to lunch.

Celebrated guest chefs such as Mark Hix or talented house chef Rebecca Leech (who was trained at River Cottage) then produce mouthwatering dishes, designed to show the many ways the distillery's vodka can be used as an ingredient.

Appliances in this new kitchen include an electric single oven, coffee machine, microwave and the combination steam oven from Caple's Sense Premium collection. Visitors can also see the C950i induction hob, Di627 dishwasher, built-under RBL4 larder fridge and RBF4 freezer and the Aspen tap in chrome.

"Because our guests see everything being prepared in front of them, it was important to have great looking appliances as well as excellent function and Caple have more than filled this objective," says Black Cow Distillery's Paul Archard (known as Archie). "We couldn't be happier."

Black Cow vodka makes the world's only pure milk vodka, which is made entirely from the milk of grass-grazed cows. This vodka is described as exceptionally smooth with a unique, creamy character.
