I've just heard an advertisement on my local radio station - Radio Jackie (no longer pirate!) - that the Southern Homebuilding & Renovating / Kitchen & Bathroom Show is taking place this weekend at Sandown Park, Esher, Surrey.

I'm surprised I hadn't been made aware of it officially as I was given a press pass last time around, publicised the event in KBZine, attended the show and gave it an excellent write-up... So, sorry about the short notice but I didn't know it was on!

Although the show is aimed primarily at consumers, I found it really interesting and am now trying to change my plans so I can attend. If you're fairly local and in the trade you'll be able to visit to around 200 exhibitors and may even end up meeting some new clients amongst the other visitors!

The show opens at 10.00 and closes at 17.00 tomorrow and 16.30 on Sunday. Tickets cost £5.00 if you book before the box office closes at 15.00 today, or are £8.00 on the door. Hopefully I'll see you there so do come and say 'hello' if you spot me.

Finally, I was chased by a PR early this week to see if I was going to be able to attend the Waitrose cookery school event to which I'd been invited. I hadn't received the invitation in the post and the emailed version she was going to send hasn't arrived either. As I was expecting an email I didn't take a note of the caller's name or number, so if it was you (or you know who it might have been) please get in touch as I'd hate anyone to think I was ignoring an invitation!
