Mereway Kitchens; ultimate test raises cash for charity
Mereway Kitchens has raised money for charity 'Help for Heroes' by donating 10 pence per view on its viral YouTube clip involving a kitchen, a tank and a whole lot of fun! The cheque for £250 was presented to Janie Martin, County Co-Ordinator last month.
If you recall at the beginning of the year, Mereway Kitchens recreated an original stunt first seen at the launch of the company 25 years ago, featuring a car balanced on kitchen carcasses, to illustrate that its kitchens were not only beautiful, but also solidly built and very strong.
To celebrate its Silver Anniversary milestone, Mereway Kitchens went a step further, not only balancing a brand new Audi on its kitchen carcasses, but subjecting them to the 'ultimate test' with a 52 ton British Centurion tank. It was a clever, tongue in cheek clip that brought many smiles and raised Mereway's profile at the same time.
"We were delighed to make a donation to Help for Heroes for £250 when we reached 2,500 views and likes on the YouTube video," says Graham Jones Sales & Marketing Director for Mereway Kitchens. "We will make another donation when we reach our target of 5,000 views."
Janie Martin was delighted with the initiative: "We loved the clip when we first saw it," she says. "We are always delighted to receive a donation for our cause and continue to be amazed and inspired by how people raise money!"
