Burbidge recruits new addition to the team
British kitchen manufacturer Burbidge has announced the appointment of Grant Hilliker as its new purchasing manager.
Grant has vast experience in the purchasing sector having started his career at Massey Ferguson in Coventry in the 1980's before moving into shopfitting and then more recently the motoring industry.
In 2008, Grant moved on to become purchasing manager for the sports and leisure industry working with brands such as Speedo, Reebok and Canterbury Clothing.
"I would like to think that my breadth of experience as a strong negotiator and supply chain manager will strengthen this area of the business," says Grant.
"I'm delighted to join a very talented team and hope my experience and knowledge will help Burbidge to continue to grow and prosper."
In Grant's new role he will be responsible for the acquisition of its high quality raw materials, such as the fine timbers sourced from around the world, that have become synonymous with the Burbidge brand.
Ben Burbidge, managing director at Burbidge says: "Grant will play an integral role in developing our relationships with European suppliers and in the sourcing of our timber supplies as we move forward.
"Remaining competitive within the marketplace is vital and it's important that we not only provide the highest quality products to our customers but also ensure sustainability through our sourcing, and competitive pricing. This will all form an important part of Grant's responsibilities and we're delighted to have him on board."
Burbidge is a long established kitchen frontals and accessories manufacturer. Its products can be viewed in realistic room sets at its showroom in Coventry.
