Life looks better in HD with British Ceramic Tile's new ceramic tile collection, HD Origin

* BCT.jpgDesigned to replicate nature and imitate the appearance and intricacies of real stone, the new HD (High Definition) Origin collection from British Ceramic Tile has been created using the very latest in high definition inkjet technology.

A striking new addition to British Ceramic Tile's already extensive product portfolio, the collection takes stone effect ceramic tiles to a whole new level of design, making them virtually impossible to distinguish from real stone, such is the quality and accuracy of the print.

Suitable for entrance lobbies, hallways, bathrooms, kitchens and more, HD Origin is a hard-wearing, cost effective alternative to natural stone, which offers a range of realistic stone effects from marble through to sandstone all within a neutral colour palette.

"The whole idea behind the launch of the new HD Origin collection was to design a range of stone effect tiles that are so realistic that you have to touch them to double check whether they are in fact ceramic or natural stone," reveals British Ceramic Tile's Product Manager Jayne Adamson.

"Our new high definition inkjet technology has brought to life the detail and shade variations you come to expect with natural stone, but with the added benefits of natural imperfections being removed and a variety of size formats.

"Installation is also much quicker than with real stone and there is no sealing needed or special maintenance, making it a practical option in any residential or commercial design scheme."

With its gloss finish and travertine-like effect, the Parallel range brings a sense of light and space to any room. Available in three neutral shades of light beige, dark beige and white, Parallel has a modern style that will suit any living area, and comes in two sizes 248 x 498mm and 300 x 600mm, with a 331 x 331mm matching floor tile.

A softer, more classic ceramic tile design, Murmur recreates the luxurious appearance of marble for an elegant finishing touch. Available in classic shades of cream and grey, in two versatile sizes 248 x 498mm and 300 x 600mm, with a 331 x 331mm matching floor tile and scored decor to be used in conjunction with the smaller 248 x 498mm wall tile.

Featuring a colour palette of beige, light grey and dark grey, Ditto is an extremely versatile range which marries a popular sandstone effect with a matt finish. All three colourways include a 248 x 498mm wall tile with a 331 x 331mm matching floor tile. For that something that little bit different, Ditto also offers a contemporary wave decor that creates a stunning 3D effect - ideal when designing a focal point or feature wall.

The final range in the collection is Mimeo. Printed to reflect the detailed veining and colour variations associated with marble, Mimeo is hard to distinguish from real stone its design is so faultless. With its cool and contemporary grey colour scheme, Mimeo effortlessly brings the opulent look of natural stone to walls and floors. Available in two different finishes, satin and gloss, Mimeo comes in a 300 x 500mm size, with matching 331 x 331mm floor tile. The satin tile is multi use making it suitable for use on walls and floors while the gloss tile is designed purely for walls.

The new HD Origin collection has been designed and manufactured at British Ceramic Tile's world-class factory in Devon and is complemented by existing stone-effect tiles including Cappuccino and Keystone. Both of these ranges are externally sourced to ensure the HD product portfolio covers all requirements including porcelain slate-effect tiles featuring in the Keystone range and larger format ceramic floor tiles available in Cappuccino.

Plans are in place to extend the collection with more ranges set to be launched over the coming year. A full product launch supported by suite of marketing material will be available for retailers, including eye-catching point of sale strut cards designed to highlight the 'life looks better in HD' message to consumers.

As part of the launch of the HD Origin collection, retailers will also have the opportunity to enter British Ceramic Tile's prize draw for the chance to win a 37" Samsung HD television. Retailers should contact their Area Sales Managers for further details of the promotion.
