BTCC season closes with success for Gorenje-sponsored driver

Andrew Jordan, the professional racing driver sponsored by Gorenje, finished the British Touring Car Championship season on a high after winning both the Independent Drivers' Championship and the Manufacturers'/Constructors' Teams' Trophies.

In a gripping race day finale at Brands Hatch, Kent, two weeks ago, Andrew overcame the terrible weather to win the Independent Drivers' Trophy, the first time he has in his career. As part of the Pirtek racing team, he jointly collected the HiQ and Independent Teams' trophy, while as a Honda driver he was in the winning group for the Manufacturers'/Constructors' Championship.

Andrew's state of the art Honda Civic from Pirtek Racing, which features the Gorenje logo on the front and tail wings, was highly visible throughout the ITV4 coverage of the day's races, giving the Gorenje brand excellent exposure over the course of the day. Gorenje has sponsored Andrew throughout the 2012 season, with its logo also appearing on the garage boards, hero cards, posters and race truck.
