Belling puts independents on the road

Independent retailer Direct Kitchens and SS Audio will be driving home for Christmas after each winning a £22k, fully branded Ford Transit van from Belling.

Popular cooking appliance brand Belling, launched its Dream Wheels competition in April, as part of its year of Centenary celebrations, offering Euronics members and retailers buying Belling products through kitchen specialist distributors, the chance to win one of two commercial vehicles.

Every time a retailer made a single purchase of more than £500 from Belling over a six month period, they received a ticket for the prize draw to win a Ford Transit commercial vehicle, worth approximately £22,000, fully branded with the retailer's company name and logo.

Carl Vigrass of Direct Kitchens in Sheffield and Kully Johal of SS Audio in Bradford received the keys to their new vans from Belling ambassador and celebrity chef Brian Turner at the BBC Good Food Show in Birmingham. After enjoying a demonstration by TV chefs The Hairy Bikers, the delighted winners were then treated to a VIP lunch cooked for them by James Martin.

Denver Hewlett, Chief Executive of Belling, says: "2012 has been a fantastic year for Belling and this was a way of thanking our independent retailers for their continued loyalty and support."
